Never share account information. This includes your Online/Mobile banking login, account numbers, social security number and PINs. Do not provide personal information over the phone unless you initiate contact and verify that it is a trusted source. If someone contacts you claiming to be Cares asking for a password or a code, DO NOT answer them, do not provide any personal information, or click any links. Please hang up and call us at +14379981479.
Do not “over share” on social media. For example, avoid posting when you are on vacation and when you will be returning. Wait until you get back to post the fun photos!
Secure your mail. Place outgoing mail in a post office collection box. If you plan on being away from home for more than a couple days, have the US Post Office hold your mail. Even better— sign up for eStatements!
Safely dispose of sensitive information. Shred any papers that have personal or financial information.
Freeze Your Credit. A credit freeze limits access to your credit report so no one, including you, can open new accounts until the freeze is lifted. To be fully protected, you must place a freeze with each of the three credit reporting agencies. A credit freeze is free and can be temporarily lifted when you need it.
